President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that he will head the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in his government.
Nigerians react to President’s decision to serve as petroleum minister
Buhari explained that he would occupy the position in order to sanitize Nigeria’s oil industry which has been plagued by corruption and mismanagement.

The president made the disclosure in New York on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, after addressing a Global Leaders' Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism.
