'Fix Nigeria and investors will come,' Gulak tells President

Gulak says Nigerians need and deserve a president that will fix the country not one who will explain why he can't fix Nigeria.

Ahmed Gulak

In a recent interview with Daily Independent Newspapers, the former Political Adviser to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan said the country needs to understand that running to different countries and seeking investors while discussing corruption will no solve the country's problem.

In his words, "Every Nigerian is saying that the President should stay back at home. Yes, we want investors but as I said if you fix your country, investors will run coming to you. We have the market. This is a country of over 170 million people. It is one of the largest market in the world. We have seen Chinese, Americans, Indians, Asians coming here. We have the market but fix the country. Provide security, give us power, give us fuel, release the budget and the country will be fixed. Then, the investors will come."

A chieftain in the opposition party, Gulak stressed that PDP made achievements during its 16-years reign and what Nigerians currently need and deserve isn't a president to explain why he can't fix the country but a president who will do the job.
