Journalists barred from EFCC premises

It was gathered that upon Jibrin's arrival at the EFCC, journalists were gated out without any explanations.

According to The Cable, newsmen had stormed the Commission's headquarters to follow up on the petition by Abdulmumin Jibrin against the  speaker of the house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and 11 others, over the budget padding scandal that has rocked the lower chamber in the past weeks.

Jibrin, the sacked chairman of the appropriations committee, was earlier at the office of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Department of State Security (DSS), also to submit the petitions against Dogara and others.
