According to a woman who was recently freed from Boko Haram captivity, the terrorists often said that they had sold off the abducted Chibok girls.

Aisha Abbas, a 45-year old mother of two, said that neither she nor any of the other victims had seen the missing girls while they were being held.

She however added that some of the terrorists, who were sent out to source for food, usually claimed that the girls had been sold off.

"They said the Chibok girls were married off this year. Some sold to slavery, then others (militants) each married two or four of the girls," Abbas told Reuters.
