A bomb blast has hit a mosque in Yola, Adamawa State, emerging reports say.

The explosion is said to have occurred today, October 23, 2015, during the Jumaat service at the worship centre located in the Jimeta area of the city.

“As I speak to you, dismembered bodies of several victims are being moved and the place have been cordoned off,” a witness on the scene told Premium Times.
The attack has also been confirmed by the spokesperson of the Adamawa state Emergency Management Agency, Sani Dati.
“The incident happened at a mosque in Jambutu in Jimeta local government area of the state,” he said. “Rescue workers are conveying the dead and wounded to the hospital,” Dati told online news platform, The Cable.
The attack comes less than twelve hours after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb in a Maiduguri mosque killing 28 people.
The blasts are believed to be the work of terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
