Troops kill fleeing terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Machine Gun, grenades recovered

The military had yesterday, Dec. 7, counter-attacked another set of the sect members, and several weapons were seized from them.

Troops have intercepted fleeing Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest while trying to escape military onslaught.

In a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, he said some of the terrorists, who were trying to elope through Pulka, were killed while one was captured alive.

Weapons such as, a General Purpose Machine Gun, several rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunitions, 47 rifle magazines, 36 hand grenades and quite a number of Shilka gun empty shells were recovered from the terrorists.

The military had yesterday, Dec. 7, counter-attacked another set of the sect members, and a Toyota Hilux, 2 boxes of 7.62mm ammunitions and some Improvised Explosive making Devices cords were recovered from them.
