Terrorists kill 11 in Borno

Witnesses say that the insurgents invaded the town of Gajiganna on the evening of Wednesday, December 10.

According to reports, Boko Haram terrorists have killed 11 people after an attack on a town in Borno State.

Witnesses say that the insurgents invaded the town of Gajiganna on the evening of Wednesday, December 10.

“We have lost 11 of our innocent people,” a senior local government, Zarami Kolo, said.

“The terrorists also injured people and set on fire every single house in the village. They started shooting indiscriminately, forcing our people to scamper for safety. The town is no more and our people are in distress,” he added.

A resident of the town, Ibrahim Habibu also confirmed the attack saying:

“I lost my brother and as I am talking to you, I don’t even know the whereabouts of my wife and two children.”

“I made it to Maiduguri after trekking through the bush overnight. Many of our people are still wandering in the bush,” he added.

Borno State has suffered the most from the five-year insurgency which has claimed thousands of lives and left many more displaced.
