Boko Haram terrorists have attacked Mifa community, a village in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state, reports say.

The attack, said to have occurred on Monday, February 13, was carried out by 30 terrorists, according to The Nation.

“You know this is getting too much, Chibok is surrounded by bush and the borders are not well patrolled,” a resident of the area said.

“We cannot sleep well in Chibok because of fear and that is why we want the soldiers to resume their mobile patrol,” he added.

The terrorists are said to have killed an Islamic scholar during the invasion before they were chased back by soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

Chibok made international headlines in April 2014 after more than 200 girls were kidnapped from the village by Boko Haram.
