Terror group claims responsibility for Kano bombing

Seven people have also been reported dead in fresh bomb attacks in Bam and Gajigana villages of Biu and Magumeri Local Government Areas of Borno State.

Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast that killed over 21 people during a Shi'ite Muslim procession in Kano state.

According to Daily Trust Newspapers, the terrorists, on their Twitter timeline, said "When our brother reached his target, he detonated his explosive belt amidst their gathering.”

Although the authenticity of the Twitter account is yet to be verified, the claim is coming on the heels of the twin blasts by female suicide bombers at the GSM market in Kano also.

Boko Haram was recently named the most deadly terror group in the world, with a record 6,644 deaths attributed to it, while its big brother, ISIS was credited for killing only 6,073 people.
