Iran promises to help Nigeria fight terror

This was disclosed by Saeed Omidi, the Consular of the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday, August 18, 2015.

Iran has promised to support Nigeria in its fight against the terror unleashed by Boko Haram.

This was disclosed by Saeed Omidi, the Consular of the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday, August 18, 2015.

Omidi also told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Iran would use its experience on fighting terror to assist Nigeria in to check the activities of terrorists.

He said:

“Iran has been passionate about ending the reign of terrorism anywhere. Iran is currently supporting the Iraqi army in its fight against ISIS, a terrorist organisation that has been reportedly linked to Boko Haram.”

“Iran has sent forth a helping hand to Nigeria, promising to help Nigeria in every way possible in her fight against terrorism.”

Omidi also said that the consulate was planning to hold a seminar in Lagos on the effects of terror and means of putting an end to the “terrible act”.
