Boko Haram DSS arrests 21 suspected terrorists in Lagos, Enugu, others

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested 21 suspected members of Boko Haram in various areas of Nigeria, an official of the agency has said.

This was disclosed in a statement released on Sunday, August 30, 2015, by spokesperson, Tony Opuiyo.

According to the statement, some of the terrorists were arrested in Lagos, Kano, Plateau, Enugu and Gombe states following re-strategized counter-terrorism measures deployed to combat the menace of insurgency in Nigeria.

The agency also said that some of the arrested suspects occupied notable and front line positions in the sect while warning that Boko Haram had begun to spread its tentacles outside the North-East.

Some of the terrorists were identified as Usman Shuaibu, alias Money; Ahmed Mohammed, alias Abubakar; Adamu Abdullahi, alias Babpa; Ibrahim Isa, alias Mohammed Sani, and Muttaqa Yusuf, alias Mudtaka.

Some of the suspects arrested in Lagos are: Bakura Modu, arrested on July 20 at Kara, Isheri Berger, Ikeja LGA; Mustapha Alli Jamneri, arrested on July 24, at Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Alimosho LGA and Abuyi Sherriff, arrested on August 7, at Ebute-Meta, Lagos Mainland LGA.
