Countries involved in the fight against Boko Haram will meet on Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Abuja, the President of Benin Republic, Boni Yayi has said.

Benin’s President also said that his Nigerian counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari is "very determined" to end the insurgency unleashed by Boko Haram.

"The discussions we have had with him reassure us. We are going to put an end to this odious phenomenon ... This summit will be decisive,” Yayi said, according to Reuters.

Benin is not part of the initial force formed against the sect but has now agreed to join.
