‘Army must subdue insurgents,’ Arewa Consultative Forum

This wicked attack on soft targets using innocent female suicide bombers by the Boko Haram terrorists is most unfortunate and worrisome.

The National Working Committee of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), rising from a meeting, commended the military for its work in the North-East.

The ACF in a statement, issued through the National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim, said “The meeting noted with satisfaction the effort of the military and other security agencies in their determination to end the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, particularly the persistent onslaught on the enclaves of the terrorists.

“With more troops, adequate equipment and personal supervision of Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen T. Y. Buratai, ACF urges the military to not only subdue the insurgents but station the soldiers in the areas captured and sustain a permanent surveillance that will reassure the people of their safety.”
