The Nigerian Military authorities has revealed that 80 members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect have surrendered to troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in Bama, Borno State, in an unprecedented and landmark event.

The military reports that among the terrorists who gave themselves up were commanders, suppliers and foot soldiers, who confirmed to have partaking in several attacks especially on Bama town but had to surrender as a result of the intense heat and continuous offensive action embarked by troops comprising members of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies with a view to achieving the three months deadline given by the President to eradicate the country of terrorism.
