Disease reappears in Kano

The announcement was made on Wednesday, December 14, by the Director of Veterinary Services at the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Shehu Bawa.
“The state government has taken proactive measures to contain the spread of the disease to other farms within the state,” Bawa said.
“I am using this opportunity to advise farmers to immediately report any outbreak of the disease to enable government take prompt response," he added.
Bawa also said that the outbreak was recorded in one farm which had since been cleaned out to prevent the disease from spreading further.
