What you should know about late ex Nasarawa Governor

His nephew also revealed that Akwe-Doma was receiving treatment for an un-named ailment in an Israeli hospital.

Here are some things you should know about him

1. Aliyu Akwe Doma was born on September 1, 1942 in Doma Local Government in Nasarawa State.

2. He attended the University of Ibadan  from 1964–1966.

3. Akwe Doma also attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1976.

4. The former Governor obtained his Master’s in Public Administration degree from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2002.

5. The former Governor also served as a civil servant in the old Plateau State civil service between 1976 - 1983, where he rose to the position of a Permanent Secretary.

6. Aliyu Akwe Doma was a Deputy Governor of Plateau State.

7. He also served as Governor of Nasarawa state from 2007 – 2011 as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
