While notable indigenes of Ijaw led by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan have continued to eulogise the former governor of the state, commercial activities in the state capital, Yenegoa as well as Alamieyeseigha's hometown, Amassoma had been halted.

This, the burial committee said, was to honour the strong politician, who was pronounced dead on Saturday, October 10, 2015, after allegedly slipping into a coma on Thursday, October 8, 2015.

Expected to attend the interment of the infamous politician include the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, his deputy, Retired Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah, ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and many members of the Peoples Democratic Party.
