First lady donates N55M to parents of Chibok girls, slain boys

The donation is in line with Mrs Buhari’s promise to give proceeds of her book (Essentials of Beauty Therapy) to the parents of the girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram.

Reports say the donation is in line with Mrs Buhari’s promise to give undefinedto the parents of the girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram.

She said “The day I launched my book, I promised that the proceed will be used to empower the parents of missing Chibok girls and the Buni Yadi boys.

“And I am here today to present a cheque of N30 million to empower the parents of the girls and also a cheque of N25 million to empower the parents of the murdered Bunu Yadi boys.”

Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Vice-President, also commended the gesture by the President’s wife.

Mrs. Buhari gave a cheque of N30 million to parents of the girls, and N25 million to the parents of the murdered Bunu Yadi boys.

Aisha Buhari also decried poor access to health care services for women and children in the country.
