A group under the aegis of Coalition for Change and Good Governance Initiative (CCGGI), has called on President Buhari to call the minister to order.
The said the suspension of the NITDA boss is illegal.
The group in a press statement said “We are disappointed with the actions of the minister thus far as they are a totally against the spirit of the Nigeria Constitution and the public service rule. Firstly, we condemn not only the suspension of Peter Jack but the insistence of the minister that the director of corporate planning and strategy, Mr.Vincent Olatunji should take over as against the most senior director, Olayinka Adejugbe who Jack had earlier handed over to.”
They also said “In addition, the immediate desecondment without due process of the director: Human Resource and Administration and the principal officer; Multi-stakeholder Partnership Office amongst other that were seconded to the agency without recourse to the public service rule or the office of the Permanent Secretary of the ministry is a complete act of impunity and further portray the minister as playing a script that is not in the interest of Nigeria as a nation.”
Leadership reports that CCGGI said the embattled director general is being victimised because of his open support for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
