Moro appeared before the court today, February 29, 2016, after being accused of money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The order was given by presiding judge, Justice Anwuli Chikere who has set a bail hearing for Wednesday, March 2.
According to Punch, the court also remanded a Deputy Director in the ministry, F. O Alayebami, in prison along with Moro.
The duo are facing 11 counts of fraud to the tune of N675 million in connection with a recruitment process organized by the National Immigration Service on March 15, 2014.
They are said to have defrauded job seekers of the sum during the recruitment exercise.
The recruitment process also led to the deaths of about 20 persons due to stampedes caused by improper crowd control.
