Nigeria is facing serious economic troubles due to the falling price of crude oil and some people have predicted that hard times are in store for the country.

Three people who have made such predictions are Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, Media adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina and Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

Read what they said below:

  1. Ayo Fayose: “Fellow Nigerians, I want you to take note of the followings that will unavoidably happen under the Buhari-led government in 2016. There will be so much industrial unrest, especially in the first quarter of the year. There will be removal of fuel subsidy and petrol (PMS) will sell over and above N100/litre, leaving the masses in more serious hardship. Millions of jobs will be lost in 2016 as against the three million jobs promised by the APC yearly.” READ MORE…

  2. Femi Adesina: “The times are rough, it could get rougher in the nearest future, but it would then get better… Tough times may be here but it will be over. There may be some turbulence, but after some time, we would begin to cruise.” READ MORE…

  3. Adams Oshiomhole: “It is clear from all indicators that the coming year is likely to be very tough with the continued decline in revenue and rising expectation on the part of our people…” READ MORE…

Buhari however said, while presenting the 2016 budget on December 22, that the budget would revive Nigeria’s economy and lead to the creation of jobs for the country’s youth.
