He claimed that properties worth about N1.4 billion were destroyed by fire.
Properties worth N1.14b lost in fire outbreaks
The Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe, in an official statement said the amount of houses that were gutted by fire in May was unbelievable.
Mr. Fadipe also added that his men also saved properties worth N6.8m.
He attributed the cause of the fire incidents, to the careless handling and storage of petroleum products mainly by black market operators.
When asked of the challenges his men encounter, he said the inavailability of fuel was a major challenge to the service.
