Tech giant organises global web conference for teachers

Google International Web Conference

The International web conference tagged Education on Air, will have over 43,000 teachers from 12 countries.

The International conference is a virtual conference organised for educators to understand how to use Google’s devices and apps, and also, how to meet various educational goals using the apps.

Sessions during the conference will deal on various topics ranging from how to use Google Docs to improve the writing process to how to visualise data with Maps.

Most of the conference topics were selected by the teachers.

According to Google’s chief education evangelist, Jaime Casap,“Google would be involved in education whether we liked it or not.”

He also added that ‘Part of our mission now is to do our best to make sure our tools are being utilized in the best way possible.’

The International web conference will last for two days.
