Next time you hear or read about a new Android app, you can easily set up an alert so you don’t miss it when it gets on Google Play.
You can now pre-register for apps and games before they are available
The new feature should help developers determine interest and maximize hype before their apps are released.
There is now an option to “pre-register” for apps and games on Google Play before they come out, and your device will get a notification when they are available to download or buy.
Right now, it seems a game based on the upcoming Terminator Genisys movie is the first app to be blessed with the pre-register option, although the choice is entirely up to developers to post or not to post their apps to the store early with a pre-register button.
The new feature should help developers determine interest and maximize hype before their apps are released. Also, if you pre-register and then change your mind on the app, you can simply deregister any time you want.
