Dubai to build tower taller than world’s tallest building by 2020 [PHOTO]

Dubai is ready to set a new record by a tower that is taller than the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa.

Dubai is set achieve a new feat by 2020.

The Tower, located in Dubai Creek Harbour, will have an elongated oval-shaped "bud", supported by a network of cables anchored into the ground, Gizmag reports.

Other features include two VIP observation decks, decorated in greenery, rotating balconies, numerous event spaces, retail spaces, education facilities and an auditorium.

Emaar Properties, the firm in charge of the project, says it will also have a boutique hotel, and restaurants.

According to Review Journal, the landscaping of the tower was inspired by the mythical hanging gardens of Babylon.

Spanish architect and engineer, Santiago Calatrava, is the designer of this project, worth $1 billion.
