72% say driving without shoes is better

Driving without shoes seems to be more acceptable, despite the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) asking people not to.

Opinion Poll

Last week, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) tried to raise awareness on the ill effects of driving bare feet.

''It is legal to drive bare foot'', however, road safety experts say it is better to drive barefoot, rather than with thongs or high heel, as these can slip off the pedal.”

Readers were asked to weigh in.

72% said driving bare feet is better, while 28% disagreed.
