LASTMA official reveals opening date for Ajah Flyover
An anonymous tip from a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official has given us the opening date for the Ajah flyover.
According to an anonymous Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official, the opening date is May 1st 2017, which is also Worker's day.
The official said the new bridge will make Ajah and it's surroundings 'The New Lagos', as top factories and other companies will be moving in, while expansions are expected to happen in the area.
This new information corresponds with what Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has said concerning the completion date for the flyover.
In March, the Lagos State governor said that his administration will ensure that the flyover is completed by May 2017.
During a visit from the management of Chevron Nigeria Limited led by its Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Jeffrey Ewing, he said, "We hope to also open the Ajah Flyover before the end of May.”
Work commenced on the flyover after the governor confirmed the rumors in a series of tweets.
The opening of the Ajah flyover should free up the road from the terrible traffic that this area is known for.
