Houses destroyed by terror group, Boko Haram are going to be reconstructed with building materials, provided by the Federal Government.

According to a local official, these houses will be reconstructed with building materials provided by the Federal Government.

Responding to this donation, Alhaji Kyari Batarama, Chairman of Gujba Local Government, thanked the government for this donation, while calling others to help out.

“We appreciate this generous donation by the Federal Government. We also call on the international community, non-governmental organisations and development partners to assist the victims reconstruct their houses and rehabilitate their lives” he said.

Malam Bulama Bukar, the Chairman, Gujba Local Government Resettlement Committee, also appreciated the government, while promising that the materials would not be tampered with.

“Government will not tolerate any act of diversion or misuse of the materials. The security operatives are therefore mandated to arrest any person or group selling the materials.

Government will continue to support displaced persons; we should exercise patience, support government and avoid any act of sabotage to these laudable efforts” he said.

These materials include 9,850 bundles of Zinc, 700 bags of cement and 300 bags of nails. They will used for reconstruction of the 1,302 damaged houses in Ngomari area, 862 in Kasatchia, 824 in Shuwari, 751 in Hausari, 501 in Fulatari, 479 in Baburti, 229 in Shehuri, 132 in Zazzagawa, 117 in Sabon Pegi and 81 houses in Low Cost Housing Estate.
