The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) have been asked to leave the Lafia Motor Park.

According to the Nasarawa state’s Deputy Governor, Mr Silas Agara, the directive was necessary due to the ongoing feud between the two parties.
Agara promised to provide more motor parks and to address the issues between the members of the two unions.
Mr Nasiru Aliyu, the state’s Secretary of NURTW, promised to leave the park.
Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir, the state’s Chairman of RTEAN, also promised to do the same.
This order was passed during a meeting with representatives of both unions on Friday, January 15th.
