State Assembly passes N108bn 2015 Appropriation Bill

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the state’s N108 billion 2015 Appropriation Bill.

The bill was passed on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, due to calls for urgency made by the Acting Chairman of the House Committee on Budget and Appropriation, Francis Orogu.

Orogu has urged his colleagues to pass the bill speedily to enable the State Government deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

“We effected a marginal increase of N230, 110, 759 on the budget so as to give room or take care of the salaries of the staff of the assembly,” Orogu said.

State Governor Tanko Al-Makura had presented a budget of N107, 904, 891, 045 billion to the House on December 31, 2014.
