Nasarawa State

The Governor of Nasarawa state, Tanko Al-Makura, is ready to construct a commercial airport in Lafia, the state capital.

He just signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese firm in the Government House Lafia.

The airport will be used to convey commercial and cargo services to the north central states.

Governor Al-Makura is not the first to sign a MoU with a real estate firm.

Earlier this week, the governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, signed one with an Irish firm, Asieur International Limited Group.

While Governor Al-Makura intends to construct an airport, Governor Obiano is constructing 10,000 housing units for his civil servants and low-income earners.
