Reports say these villagers confronted and booed the chairman of the local government, Joseph Egede, before proceeding to the traditional ruler's palace, where they tied the palm fronds as a “warning signal”.
The state government intends to use the land, in contention, for mechanized farming, which is aimed at improving the state's revenue.
