Nigeria’s foremost alcoholic beverage company, Guinness Nigeria Plc, in bid to support the Federal Government’s policy on diversification and promoting local contents has revealed that the company has placed a target of 50% to 70% increase in two years on local raw material sourcing.

This report was confirmed by the company’s cooperate communications manager, Olayinka Edmond during a contract renewal meeting with local rapper, Remilekun Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce.

Olayinka said that the company is looking inwards to source raw materials on all its brands, and that signing Reminisce reflects the company’s determination to keep its promise of supporting the local content policy.

Reminisce is the brand ambassador for one of Guinness Nigeria’s product, Orijin Bitters.

Guinness Nigeria Plc is a subsidiary of Diageo Plc, United Kingdom. Guinness Nigeria produces ranges of products from alcoholic beverages to nonalcoholic beverages.
