Agency highlights the importance of pedestrian bridge usage
"We have constantly warned pedestrians to use the foot-bridges provided by the state government to reduce crashes on the roads but pedestrians have not been complying."
According to Anambra State’s Sector Commander, Mr Sunday Ajayi, these bridges ensure the safety of pedestrians.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), he urged all residents, including visitors to use the pedestrian bridges.
"We do know that during celebrations like the upcoming Easter, people are in high spirit and may default in obeying traffic rules while driving.
So, we are appealing to Anambra residents to ensure that they use the pedestrian bridges in the state to avoid crashes this period,’’ he said.
Ajayi also said the FRSC would work hard to have accident-free roads during the Easter period.
