Agency tightens airport security following terrorist attacks on Brussels
Following the multiple terrorist attacks in Brussels on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken measures to tighten security around all airports in the country.
In a statement given to (NAN), Yakubu Dati, General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the FAAN stated that sniffer dogs have been positioned at all airports in the country.
According to the statement, ahead of the Easter celebrations, special taskforces from the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), body scanners and Close Circuit Television (CCTV) will be operational and beaming activities at the airports.
FAAN added that maximum security will be ensured and urged passengers to arrive the airport on time so as not to miss their flights.
