Vono MD bemoans fake products proliferation

The adverse effect of counterfeit products has become a burden for Nigerian companies.

Fake Products

The Managing Director, Vono Products Plc, Mr Tunji Anjorin, has shown his discontentment for this, and pleaded with the Federal Government to improve on its efforts at combating the menace.

While speaking at a press conference with trade partners, on the unveiling of the company’s new hospital furniture in Lagos, he explained that the influx of fake products, low government patronage and exchange rate of the naira had affected capacity utilisation in the real sector.

Also speaking at the event, the Group Head, Sales and Marketing, Vitafoam Nigeria Plc, Mr. Sola Owoade observed that companies are partnering with statutory organisations such as the Standards Organisation of Nigeria on ways of battling those responsible.

Anjorin mentioned that his company has taken into consideration the critical issues affecting examination of patients in hospitals, and has therefore produced new hospital examination bed, classic bed; cabinet and drip stand to enhance service delivery in hospitals.

The circulation of fake products has reduced the quality of services provided in various industries, as the tools needed to ensure the best service delivery are being poorly replicated.
