Former Head of State- Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, has commended the outgoing governor of Kano state, Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso. This is coming on the heels of the commissioning Evergreen Residences in Abuja.

The Head of State expressed his satisfaction at the project saying “Account, I am sure, is not taken in this estimate of quality of existing housing stock which can hardly be called adequate. That is why any addition to improvement in providing housing needs and bridging this gap is commendable.”

He further stated that all hands must be on deck, to boost the real estate sector, adding that Nigeria’s housing deficit has been put at about 17 million units.

He said it was worthy of note that the governor was able to take ownership of the land which was a bone of contention between the state and the Federal Capital Territory.
