The Nigerian fighters have engaged in war of words following the unveil of the fight scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 30, 2016.

The pugilists, who are slated to slug it out inside the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos during the GOtv Boxing Night 8, have promised to entertain fans.

Responding to Hammer's claim that he will punish him, Afonja described his opponent as a boastful boxer, who will crumble when faced with a boxer of his own quality.

"I read what he said in the newspapers. He boasted that he has successfully defended his title five times, but I want to tell him that he will fail this time. He is a kid boxer and I will beat him like he is one," Afonja said.

Dedicated to the memory of legendary Muhammed Ali, Jenkins Alumona of Flykite Promotions stressed that the boxers will be fighting for a cash prize of N1m as well as the National Middleweight Title.
