Sim Shagaya, the founder of e-commerce site, Konga has revealed that he did not earn a salary during the first year of the business.
He said further, during an interview with My Africa Podcast, that he was also the least paid during the second year of the business.
“I’m totally vested in Konga, for the first year of the business, I didn’t earn a salary,” Shagaya said.
“In the second year of the business, virtually everyone was paid more than me,” he added.
Mr Shagaya stated further that his salary in the second year was N125,000, a mere pittance considering his position in the company.
