Missy Elliot hails YBNL rapper after she danced 'Shoki' in her video

Elliot who recently released the visuals for her single ‘WTF (Where They From)’, infused aspects of the popular shoki dance into her choreography routine in the video.

Lil Kesh has received recognition from Missy Elliot after she used his ‘Shoki’ dance in her video.

Last night, the rapper gave credit on Twitter to Lagos, Nigeria for the dance.

Missy Elliott's video for her new song 'WTF (Where They From),' features a verse from fellow Virginian Pharrell Williams. It's been over a decade since the iconic late '90s/early 2000s futurist rapper has released an album and three years since she released a single.

The new video, co-directed by Elliott and her longtime collaborator Dave Meyers, marks the artist's return to her roots. Watch "WTF (Where They From)" below. The shoki dance can be seen as the 2:30 min mark.
