What Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Body Language Says About Their Marriage

1) Canada's doing them good. This photo was snapped at Meghan and Harry's first public appearance since they relocated to Canada which makes their "relaxed and happy" body language a pretty big deal, says Orbuch. Since they've distanced themselves from the crown, "Harry is definitely less stiff," she adds, just peep his unclenched hand, his smile, and his posture. He and Meghan have finally been able to exhale and focus on happier life with baby Archie. Orbuch can tell this is something they've both really wanted. How? They're stepping forward at the same time, looking in the same direction, smiling, and holding hands while they do it. They're mirrors of the other proving their goals for the future are one in the same. When one's happy, so is the other and that's all that matters right now. Samir Hussein - Getty Images

2) Even up until their move, Meghan's love never faltered. "Meghan is looking at [Harry] adoringly, listening carefully, and attentively to what Harry saying. She has such a love in her eyes as she is looking at him," says Orbuch. This kind of body language just before their big move, tells Orbuch their decision to "step back" wasn't because of any rifts between Meghan and Harry, but so they could protect their relationship. And Meghan's head tilt toward Harry proves she isn't playing it up for the cameras either, this look is genuine display of her love for him. Max Mumby/Indigo - Getty Images

3) Harry's done his best to reassure Meghan things will get better for them. And it seems to be working. Meghan knows Harry will always have her back. How's Orbuch so sure? Well, "in this photo, Meghan looks amazingly relaxed," she explains. Meghan's two-handed hold on Harry's arm and hand mean she trusts Harry fully. Their bodies, perfectly aligned and their feet stepping forward at the same time, tells Orbuch Harry's made Meghan feel secure, specifically in this moment capture just before their move. 4) They've always been happier on their own. Tour is where Meghan and Harry can really be themselves. Yeah, they're still being flanked by security, but being on their own brings them a visible sense of peace. They get do things on their own terms including ditching royal protocol . (I don't know about you, but sounds to me like the move to Canada was definitely a good one). On this trip to South Africa in particular, before they took their "step back," the Duchess and Duke put their connection on full display. Their bodies are pressed up against each other (way more than they've typically been in public) showcasing their strong bond while their relaxed postures point to their trust in one another. 5) Meghan doesn't hold anything back from her family. A few days later, this time with Archie, the good feels just kept on coming for Meghan and Harry on their trip to South Africa . Here, "[Meghan] is truly laughing hard with her entire body," Orbuch says. Her closed eyes and lean toward Harry proves she's happiest when she's with her family. In these moments during their family trips, Meghan doesn't worry about who's looking or how composed she seems. She can always be herself. Pool - Getty Images

6) Being parents to Archie tops everything. Despite the tabloid stories about feuds between Meghan and Harry and his brother William and wife Kate, being parents to Archie makes bad press and family drama pretty insignificant. Archie is Meghan and Harry's number one priority and always will be. Orbuch knows this because of the way they can't keep their eyes off him. Knowing Archie would brighten his day, Meghan was quick to walk Archie over to his father after his polo match so they could get some face time in. 7) Later, hatersthis marriage has always been as solid as ever. This on-stage snuggle fest proves how "completely connected" these two are, says Greer. She loves how Harry and Meghan are leaning into each other, leaving absolutely no room between their upper bodies even while in front of a large audience. It's clear these two arent going to be hiding their love for each other anytime soon (hey, no complaints here)! Jonathan Brady - PA Images - Getty Images

8) Their minds are on the same things. While they dont have the same foot forward (which is sometimes a sign of trouble), Greer praises this body language because both Meghan and Harry are walking in unison and have similar expressions on their faces. This, she says, means the Duke and Duchess are in complete harmony with one another. DOMINIC LIPINSKI - Getty Images

9) ...Because they're so compatible. This time, Greer focuses on the way these two turn toward "each other in happiness." She says Meghans smile and Harrys attentive expression are signs of mutual understanding and comfort being around one another. Plus, their compatibility is further reflected in the way theyre walking in step with each other. Pool/Samir Hussein - Getty Images

10) Meghan and Harry have been in sync from the start. "They're in unison, from their similar clothing colors to their hands together," says Greer. Sure, Meghan ALWAYS wears navy blue (with good reason), but whats notable here is that Harry also wore it to match his wife. Theyre also walking in step with each other, which signals similar ideals and goals. (FWIW: They donned similar matching hues during Christmas with the Queen, too.) Karwai Tang - Getty Images

11) They make time for private moments. Back at it again with the synced feet. Greer gushes over this body language during Harry and Meghans walk through the Redwoods in New Zealand. "Theyre completely in their element together!" That locked gaze, hand hold, and mirrored stances shows "their harmony is evident," Greer adds. The couple looks really happy in this moment, which probably has something to do with the fact that they announced Meghans pregnancy only a few days before. Pool/Samir Hussein - Getty Images

12) Meghan feels totally confident in what she has with Harry. Aaaaand back in navy blue. This sweet gesture, where Harry places a gentle hand on Meghans back, actually says more about Megan than Harry, whos "helping her move gracefully," according to Greer. In this moment, Meghans body language is giving off signs which point to how confident she is with relying on Harry. He's guiding her, so shes comfortable shifting her focus from watching her step to keeping her dress in place against the wind. Pool - Getty Images

13) He calms her nerves. "Even while engaged in the crowd, they remain connected to one another," says Greer. Harry (looking dapper, even in wellies, I might add) looks confident and comfortable on this official multi-city tour, but he extends a hand to hold on to Meghan, whos a first timer at representing the crown abroad. Her nerves are evident by the way she holds on to both Harrys hand and wrist, but she keeps her face cool and collected as shes comforted by her husband. Karwai Tang - Getty Images

14) He's also protective super protective of her. Even the man in the background sees how loving this moment is! Its a simple gesture, but Greer catches all the hidden messages. "Gallantry at its finest moment," she says. "He continues to bring the elegance of being a prince into their relationship." (Swoon.) Pool/Samir Hussein - Getty Images

15) Meghan looks out for him, no matter where they are. Greer is loving this rare moment where members of the royal family seem #relatable. Who knew they got sand in their ears, too? In this snapshot of the couple in Sydney, Meghan appears "open to sharing their intimacy with the world," she says. Meghan knows the cameras are there but "she is relaxed enough to be publicly demonstrative with an intimate gesture." Samir Hussein - Getty Images

16) They're able to forget the rest of the world. Last summer, the royal couple treated onlookers (and the entire internet, lets be real) to a little more affection than usual. Before this second public kiss, it had been all hand holding and hands-on-back since their wedding. So, when Meghan laid one on her man following his polo match win, Greer was quick to say that this moment meant love was still in bloom. "The two of them are leaving the world behind," she says. "Its their moment in time." Karwai Tang - Getty Images

17) Meghan's still in awe of Harry. And following that sweet kiss, the positive body language continued: the feet in sync, the interlocked fingers, and Meghan's admiring look toward Harry are all signs of a solid couple, according to Greer. She says that Meghans "smile reflects her feelings of love" for Harry. Samir Hussein - Getty Images

18) Harry makes sure Meghan's always near... Okay, so Harry is walking ahead of her, but these soon-to-be parents are still giving off the most loving vibes because their feet are in sync, and, more importantly, because Harry is turning back toward Meghan. "He never leaves her behind even if he is a step ahead," Greer says. "He remains connected." Karwai Tang - Getty Images

19) ...So he can be there for her if she needs it. "[Harrys] always behind her," says Greer. And while, yeah, hes physically behind Meghan in this moment, Greer means that this body language points to the way Harry is Meghans support system. And having Harry there might be especially important to Meghan considering the negative rumors that are circling about what her staff and in-laws really think of her (sigh). Neil Mockford - Getty Images

20) Even if it means being in front of her. Theres a lot of good stuff going on here: the couple is holding hands, their feet are in sync, and their heads are angled in the same directionall signs theyre a unit with similar goals and priorities. But what Greer zeroes in on is the fact that Harry is walking a few paces ahead of Meghan. "By walking ahead of her hes paving the way for them as a couple," says Greer. Hes there to take on any burdens, negativity, and backlash that may come their way before shes forced to deal with them. Karwai Tang - Getty Images

21) Meghan doesn't constantly rely on Harry. Though their feet are in sync, Greer says, "in this instance, [Harrys] definitely leading the way and holding onto [Meghan] in a take-charge type of way," as they head to their car. He is, as usual, making sure Meghan is near him. And though shes a few paces behind him (you know, probs because of the high heels and child shes carrying) Meghans not relying on Harry to guide her like she usually does by holding onto his arm or hand. This duchess can get herself from point A to point B, thank you very much, but shes not fighting his protective body language either. Danny Lawson - PA Images - Getty Images

22) Meghan's there for Harry as much has he's there for her. Before Archie's birth, Meghan and Harry gave us this adorable sneak peek of what they look like with kids. In it, Meghan is "showing her support" for her husband, according to Greer, by putting her "arm around him as he [leans] toward the children." While Harry is usually caught with his hand on Meghans back or arm, Meghans flipping the script by showing she has her husbands back, too. Chris Jackson - Getty Images
