We all wish we could score a standing O during every performance—but unfortunately, anyone who's ever had sex knows that orgasms are not 100 percent guaranteed.

But now, a new study published in The Journal of Sex Research has the answer to exactly which sexual acts lead to the most orgasms.

For the study, researchers from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and Queen's University in Canada surveyed more than 800 people, ages 18 to 79, who were in romantic relationships. Of the group, a little more than half were in same-sex relationships, and the rest were in heterosexual, or in what the study authors called "mixed-sex" relationships.

Researchers then asked participants how frequently they reached O-town, and how satisfied they were with an orgasm resulting from oral, anal, vaginal penetration, and other sexual adventures, as well as whether they desired certain sexual activities more or less often. With all of that info in the books, the study authors found that men in same-sex relationships were much more likely than any of the other groups to orgasm from being penetrated during anal sex. They also discovered that women in same-sex relationships were most likely to have multiple orgasms (get it, girls). And the group least likely to orgasm during any given sexual encounter were women in heterosexual relationships. Anyone surprised here? Didn't think so.

But all women, regardless of sexuality, were extremely satisfied with the Os they had during vaginal intercourse with clitoral stimulation. (In other words, double your pleasure, double the fun).

And that's kind of great news considering there are plenty of sex positions (and vibrators!) that stimulate your G-spot and clitoris at the same time, giving you what's known as a blended orgasm.

But blended orgasms weren't the only two-for-one sexual activity respondents were craving. Both men and women of all sexualities reported being the most satisfied after receiving oral sex and having sexual intercourse. More is more, people.

Other ice-breaker-worthy info: A majority of those surveyed wished they had multiple orgasms more frequently—so you're not alone.

Obviously, everyone is different, and what sparks an orgasm for some people might not work for others. Plus, an orgasm doesn't need to be the end goal of every single sexual encounter. But next time you're going for it, it's worth trying out a little c-spot action and G-spot play at the same time
