J.Lo is joined by two other talented judges on World of Dance, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough. While you silently critique the competition from the comfort of your couch, these three smooth-moving stars will be holding nada back as they do the real judging onstage. (Oh, and Access Live host Scott Evans is once again back to host the whole thing, too!)
Here's everything you need to know about the WoD judges returning for their encore:
Judge #1: Jennifer Lopez
Jenny from the Block is bringing the heeeeeat this seasonas she does with literally everything (including her red-hot relationship with Alex Rodriguez ). As you, your mom, and practically everyone in the world knows, J.Lo got engaged to A-Rod since the last World of Dance season debuted, so look for that big, fat sparkler on her finger while shes critiquing moves. J.Lo also performed at a little event called the Super Bowl , so shes definitely got some recent dance experience to share.
Aside from being a judge, J.Lo's also a producer on the show, which makes her twice as passionate about shining a spotlight on the world's best dance talent. In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she said, "[World of Dance is] honestly one of the most entertaining things that I get to do in my work. I feel like I have a front row seat to the best show ever... Seeing all these young dancersthey do death-defying tricks, the emotion that they bring, the passion that they bringeverything about it, to me, is exciting."
Even if you have two left feet (*raises hand*), just imagining the chance to perform in front of the actress, fashion designer, dance superstar, singing sensation, entrepreneur, humanitarian (the resume goes on) is enough to make ya sweat. And J.Lo is beyond ready to make the talent werk for it. She wants only the best of the best this season, and shes and shes been plugging the show hard on Instagram. So... yeah, the stakes are HIGH.
Judge #2: Ne-Yo
The Grammy Award-winning singer first made his mark in 2006 with R&B hit "So Sick," but he also has a fair share of TV and film credits like Empire, Stomp the Yard, and Save the Last Dance. Those last two introduced the world to his "so sick" dance moves.
On the personal front, Ne-Yo split up with his wife, Crystal Smith, since the start of last season. "Slowly but surely it's becoming public knowledge that myself and my wife have decided to go ahead and get a divorce," he said on the podcast Private Talk with Alexis Texas in late February 2020. "It's not a sad thing... long story short, I'm never gonna talk bad about her; I'm not that person. There's nothing bad to say about her; she's a fantastic woman. She's the mother of my children. She's always gonna be that, and I will always respect her."
Today, you can also see him breaking it down in two seasons of the YouTube series "Step Up: High Water," inspired by the classic Step Up movies (ugh, young Channing Tatum).

And if he didnt already win your heart with his smooth vocals, his passion for WoD will def do that now. "Finally, heres a show that gives dancers the respect, recognition, and the financial compensation they so absolutely deserve," Ne-Yo told the Chicago Defender .
Judge #3: Derek Hough
Yup, Hough, as in brother to celeb dancer Julianne Hough. So, you might say dancing runs in the family. Since his first lesson at age 11, Dereks gone on to win Dancing With the Stars six (!!) times, score two Emmys for his choreography, and, nbd, write a New York Times best seller.
No stranger to competition or star talent (hes tangoed with everyone from Maria Menounos to Amber Riley), Dereks well-versed on the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into scoring a spot on the stage. Thats played a big role in his judging in the past. Odds are thatll play a big role in his judging. So dont expect too many harsh comments from his chair: Hes up there to be "supportive," according to an interview with TVInsider .
When it comes to his personal life, Derek has been tighter than tight with his girlfriend, Hayley Erbert . The two have been posting cute photos and videos of themselves on Instagram that you wish your partner would do with you (side eye).
No word on whether Haley will come up this season but, given that she's a dancer and very much intertwined in Dereks life, its pretty likely.

The couple even recently performed in Disney's Sing-A-Long At-Home special togetherwith a surprise appearance from Julianneso they've already got some TV experience under their belts!
