  • Selma underwent chemotherapy for her multiple sclerosis earlier this year and has shared regular updates about life with the disease.

Selma Blair just posted one of the most relatable celebrity bikini photos on Instagram amidst her recovery from multiple sclerosis. Wearing a black bikini while doing backstrokes in the pool, the 47-year-old actress shared a simple plea for the universe.

"This week... please go easy on us universe. Love, selma #stayingafloat," she captioned the photo.

Talk about a Monday mood. Selma 's fans and followers chimed in with their own requests from the universe, and she responded with more kind words. Selma wrote: "It feels so hard when you are anxious and feel alone. This will pass. It all does seem to. Find something that can help soothe you. Even a candle, or writing some of the chaos onto paper. Sending love."

Selma didn't share any more details in her post, but she has not had an "easy" year. The actress was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in August 2018. And she is currently in recovery from both chemotherapy and stem cell treatment . I had no intention of doing it, I was like, Im not ruining my body, whats left of it. Why would I put this horrible drug, chemotherapy, in me? I dont have cancer. But I was kind of out of options and I was looking, she said at the Time 100 Health Summit last month.

Throughout the last year, Selma has been incredibly open about her journey with MS. She shares Instagram posts about her struggles with motherhood and tough treatment updates regularly. And Selma recently gave her followers an update about her hair growth post chemotherapy, even joking about it through channeling Britney Spears .

And just this summer, she also shared a post about how scary it's been to lose her vision. Panic sets in. Will this be permanent? How do I get to one more doctor appointment? How will I work and write when I cant see and its so painful? she wrote.

Still, despite her symptoms, Selma said, "I am choosing to say this too shall pass."
