In the video, she literally takes you inside her doctor's office and in the room as she undergoes her mammogram, but keeps things totally light-hearted throughout the whole thing. She has an outfit change to get into a blue doctor's office top suitable for her mammo, and she jokingly creates cartoons of boobs on a paper chart. And during her mammogram, she's real enough to grimace and make some funny faces, while reassuring us all that the process is not bad at all.
"Every October I have a standing date . For a mammogram . For me, having the appointment on the books makes it routine, like the dentist," she wrote in her post. "I know its scary, sisters, but just do itthe next best thing to an all clear is early detection."
She ended her post with an encouraging message to women currently battling breast cancer.
" To everyone in the thick of the battlerespect and love and strength to you. "
She got TONS of love from her famous friends and followers.
Kristin Chenoweth commented, "I could NOT LOVE YOU MORE." And Olivia Wilde wrote, "You are a g darn treasure ."
And Rachel Zoe shared she also does the same thing. "I do the same twice a year @jennifer.garner and i love you even more for this post on behalf of myself my sister and my mom #earlydetection," she wrote.
Kudos to Jennifer for setting an amazing example.
