Jenna Dewan Says She Met Boyfriend Steve Kazee While Married To Channing Tatum

Jenna Dewan Met Steve While Married To Channing
  • Jenna Dewan opened up to People about her unexpected relationship with Steve Kazee.
  • It was an instant connection when we met each other," she said.
  • The couple recently announced they were pregnant with their first child together.

Jenna Dewan wasn't looking for love. But from a recent interview, with People , it sounds like she couldn't help it.

ICYMI, Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee have been dating since October 2018, after Jenna and ex-husband Channing Tatum divorced. She and Steve announced they were pregnant with their first child together last month.

"We are beyond overjoyed and couldnt be happier to be expanding our family! the couple told People.

And just when you thought they couldn't get any cuter, shortly after announcing her upcoming book, Gracefully You: How to Live Your Best Life Every Day , Jenna decided to share their love story with everyone. Let me just say, Allie and Noah might have some competition.

I had met Steve years ago in a flash, it mustve been five minutes, she told People. Jenna had just seen him perform in Once on Broadway with her mom where she said she was "blown away" by his performance. And when she got the opportunity to go back stage and meet the actors, she couldn't help but notice Steve's cool energy.

Jenna was married to Channing Tatum at the time, but six years later after her separation from the Magic Mike actor, Steve reached out.

It took Jenna time to recover from what she called the "grief tunnel" of ending a 9-year marriage to Channing.

She told People in another article, I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me. It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24. I didnt know life without Chan."

She wasn't looking for a relationship with Steve, but when tried to take things slow, "It was too right, she said. And I said, What am I fighting?'

They started with a phone call, Jenna told People. And it lasted for hours (swoon!) She said there was an immediate connection. One strong enough, that she agreed to meet in person.

It was an instant connection when we met each other. All of a sudden, there was no way we could avoid it. So in my eyes it was truly, completely meant to be. There was like a lightning bolt behind it, she said.

And as far as we know, the two are living happily ever after. Congrats Jenna!
