Jason Biggs' Wife, Jenny Mollen, Dropped Their Son
  • Jenny Mollen, wife of Jason Biggs, shared on Instagram that she dropped their son, fracturing his skull.
  • Their son, Sid, is now home and recovering well, the actress said in her post.
  • Dropping your child is an extremely common accident, but typically less dangerous than you'd think, research shows.

Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen are living out every new parent's worst nightmare.

Last night, Jenny shared on Instagram that she dropped her 5-year-old son, Sid, on his head and fractured his skull.

"On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU," she wrote in her caption. "I am forever grateful to Lenox Hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid."

After thanking the hospital staff, the actress expressed her immense gratitude for her husband, who I can only imagine kept her calm during this tough time. The good news is her son is back home after the scary incident.

"It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely," Jenny continued. "He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon."

Jenny's honest post has attracted a ton of positive support from her followers. "So sorry this happened...Thanks for being so fkn real on here. A lot of moms/people need that. Youre an amazing mom," wrote one. "Thank you for sharing with us - accidents like this are probably much more common than anyone wants to admit," said another.

Which is completely true: According to Harvard Medical School , childhood head injuries result in tens of thousands of ER visits and hospitalizations in the U.S. And while their experts estimate that 90 percent of those injuries are minor, that doesn't make them any less terrifying. In one study , 68 percent of children under the age of 6 who were dropped or fell had a normal CT scan, while only 17 percent suffered isolated skull fractures. Most of those fractures appeared in babies under 1 year old.

That said, dropping your child, no matter how old, must be the worst feeling the world. "My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone...," Jenny finished in her genuine post.
