Emily skye just posted a sports-bra selfie revealing her body 23 days after giving birth

In a new Instagram post, Emily poses in a sports bra and shorts, topped off with a big smile. In the caption, Emily explains that she gave birth 23 days ago, and she’s wearing her partner’s shorts “because none of mine fit.”

Emily says she’s lost about 30 pounds since she gave birth, and that she gained 46 pounds overall during her pregnancy. “It just shows how much fluid I had!” she wrote. “It’s great not to be swollen anymore too!”

Emily says her stomach is still “really squishy but it’s getting there.” Her abs, which she says were three finger-widths apart after she gave birth (a condition known as diastasis recti), now seem to be almost completely back together. “The core & pelvic floor work I do every day is obviously working,” she said. Emily then went into the workouts she’s doing to try to get back in shape. “I managed to do some really light exercises at home today for my pelvic floor & core & some resistant band crab walks & monster walks!” she said. “It was really light & easy but feels so good to do something slightly active!”

Her big plan is to return to the gym in two and a half weeks, which she’s looking forward to. “It’s going to take a lot of hard work to get some sort of strength and fitness back but if I commit myself and I’m consistent I believe I’ll get there,” she said.

Emily has made it clear that she has big plans to get back into shape, but she’s also going to be kind and patient with herself—especially after a hard pregnancy. “My pregnancy was not how I thought it would be, I thought I’d be exercising regularly the whole way through but that did not happen as I was sick a lot of the time and had back pain that made it hard to just walk around the house,” she wrote in a previous Instagram post.

“I can tell I’m going to have a LOT of hard work ahead of me to get fit and strong again which I KNOW I can do.”

Emily has had a lot of support from her online community, many of whom have followed her FIT training programs. And we're certainly cheering for her, along with all the other mamas working to feel strong and comfortable in their bodies post-pregnancy.
