Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, aka Dr. Pimple Popper is ahead of the curve. She can spot and pop pimples others ignore for years and years. It's no wonder patients from around the country when they have a mystery lump or bump, and her fans continue watching by the millions.
In her latest Youtube video, Dr. Pimple Popper is tackling a large bump right on her patient's head, too. It turns out there is a hefty lipoma underneath, and it has made a cozy home for itself. "These lipomas on the head tend to stick," she explains to her patient. "They get adherent to our head. I was really pleased because yours did pop out to some degree." The whole thing didn't come out with an easy squeeze, though. "Yours is pretty darn agreeable."
The video begins with Dr. Pimple Popper assessing the man's forehead. Then, she slices right over the lump and gets down to business. Once she can see the lipoma popping through, she grabs hold of it with tongs and starts tugging. It does not give way though, it is stuck and not coming out without a struggle.
Dr. Pimple Popper gave some background on lipomas in the description. "Lipomas are slow-growing, benign (non-cancerous) growths of fat cells. These cells are contained in a thin capsule that creates the appearance of a bump right under the skin."
Dr. Pimple Popper goes back in with her tools and clears the lipoma out piece by piece. She trims around and wiggles the bits of lipoma until they break free. It takes her the better part of the 19-minute video to pull it all out.
Phew, that extraction was a struggle, but as always Dr. Pimple Popper pulled through in the end.
