One Twitter troll in particular shared an insensitive comment about Demi and roped in Colton as well. The initial tweet read: I dont blame for @demi_burnett for wanting to date / fall in love with a girl after @colton. I probably would too. Some fans took it as a joke, but many thought it was totally uncalled for.
Colton was not having it and shared his response: Its sad that this is your take away in all of this. Your response is ignorant. It only took two sentences to defend himself and Demi's new relationship from the haters.

Colton's not just jumping in on Twitter rants without any backgroundhe's been watching Paradise and tweeting along this season. He seems to find the show as fascinating as the rest of Bachelor Nation. (Several of his exes are hanging on the beach, after all.)
Paradise might be the best social experiment based show ever created Colton Underwood (@colton)
ICYMI, Demi opened up about dating a woman, Kristian Haggerty, before going on Bachelor in Paradise. When she arrived in Mexico, Demi and Derek Peth hit it off immediately.
However, as the weeks went on and their relationship progressed, Demi began to share how confused she was about her love interests with her fellow cast members. Ultimately, Demi asked Chris Harrison to bring Kristian to the beach so she could figure out her feelings.
